What does this car say about you?

Not alot really. I like classic cars, 15 yearold now, does it count?.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Mixed reaction really, surprise that they made AX's in diesel and it does 60 to the gallon. Once you get over how depressed it looks it is quite practical and people seem to like it now as i fondly named my car Mildred. Check out my pic the day I got it a eyar ago, not been washed since!

Would you buy this car again and why?

You know what i probably would... thought I might treat myself to the 1.5D for that extra 2 hoarse power. I used to drive a 306TD before it got written off. Money was a bit tight so I bought the AX and pocketed the £900 left over. I have been saving about £40 a month on fuel as I do about 15/16k miles a year so this car has offset its self in savings making it effectively free! Don’t expect much from this car, it does the job and just makes sense. I knew it would be slow and noisy, it delivered!

What are you likely to buy next?

Sensible options are 1.4TDI Polo, 206 1.4 HDI, but I am saving for a BMW 1 Series 320 diesel. So basically anything which gets 60mpg.

Did you get a good deal and why?

£450 with a £100 tax disc, year on no work needed, yes I think so...

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It does 60MPG, had years tax (worth £100 still on it..) and years mot.

What was the dealer like?

Nice bloke live 4 miles away, private sale..

What's it like to drive?

Rubbish, but funney. Its like a noisu old trian, it will get you their but will take time to build up speed. It gets to 70/80 eventualy but thats fine as i stick to 70 on the motorway.

What's it like to park?

Dead easy, really easy. big windows to save on mental give goo view of everything.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Well I did have a problem with the radiator spewing out water from the cap. Turn out to be air in the coolant system, most likely due to crap mechanic during last service (did not bleed the air when ramming new coolant in). I bleed the air, no problems now..

What's most practical about your car?

60mpg, every time, always no matter how you drive out. Have even got 62mpg. Their is jsut solittle to go wrong, and if it does, how much is a 2nd hand engine? nothing! :)
