Citroën Berlingo 1.8i Forte 5d (2000/W) Owner Review

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
-
Economy
Value
Unbeatable space and praticality.
Costs
Too early to tell, but should be cheap as mostly van based.
-
On the road
Driving
Drives and handles well (for a van), miles better than a Kangoo. Great round town, can be a bit noisy on the motorway.
Performance
Adequate (but with the cash you'll save over an MPV, you can get one of these http://www.robinhoodengineering.co.uk ).
-
Living with it
Reliability
Reliable so far (except for the clock) but came with wrong manual and no child locks, interior light or luggage hooks, so you do have to wonder about quality control.
Image
A bit schtizo - fits in fine (in Silver) next to all the Merc MLs in the school car park, but can also be mistaken for white van man (so people tend to cut you up!).
Comfort
Seats adequate. Loads of leg room in the back.
-
Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser, but no deadlocks or standard alarm, looks like you could break in with a tooth-pick.
Service
Dealers are crap and generally don't know what they are talking about. Not able to get any reliable info about options or delivery for car or parts.
