Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm certainly no boy racer. People who know me know that I always like to have value for money. This is the most practical/value for money car I have ever had.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Initially they all thought I'd had a funny turn but now they are all sold on it's appeal. Whenever I give them a lift, they are all really impressed.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely YES. Why? I can't think of a reason why not! It's fun to drive, cheap and economical to run/insure, extremely practical and a very good second hand buy. Easy to get in and out of and excellent visibility all round.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Berlingo, but probably a second hand 2.0 HDi Desire for a change (from the Forte I have now).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£6,850
When did you buy the car?
January 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes as I negotiated one year's tax & a Service in price
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always remembered Jeremy Clarkson giving good review on Top Gear.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful and efficient. A follow up call would have been appreciated from the dealer to see if I was happy with my purchase but then I suppose that is too much to ask in this type of industry..

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Alot of FUN to drive. Steering is easy and plenty of visibility. Gear changes are smooth. Long journeys are just as fun as short.
What's it like to park?
Ok. Easy to judge when reversing due to the "flat" back. Steering lock could be better.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Indicator column needed fixing as "flasher" was sticking. Sorted with no quibbles by dealer under warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
You can do anything with it. Car boot sales, shifting furniture, taking stuff to the tip, carrying 5 adults, towing or just going for a simple drive to the beach
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Overhead and rear footwell storage. Simple but only Citroen seem to have the imagination and bottle to do it.
