Summary
What does this car say about you?
Like something a bit different.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Changed the opinion of some Citroen haters in the family as was very reliable for the 4 years and 30,000 miles I kept it. The looks divided opinion, very 1980's futuristic!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I love another!!!
What are you likely to buy next?
Replaced it with a Berlingo Multispace.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£450
When did you buy the car?
August 2004
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so, very tidy, full history, 12 months MOT and only 63,000 miles. Not too bad for £450.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always wanted a hydropneumatic Citroen and loved the BX since I was a kid and an uncle had one as a company car.
What was the dealer like?
Ok

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Suprisingly quick for 1360cc in a large car. Decent steering, fab seats and fantastic ride. Great fuel consumption also.
What's it like to park?
Hardish work sometimes and no power steering, thick rear pillars.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Small hydraulic leak when required some pipework, nothing terrible. When I bought it it wasn't riding as I thought it should so hydraflushed it, re-sphered it (inc accumulator sphere). Made massive difference.
What's most practical about your car?
Self levelling and height adjustment, came in handy with flooded roads and flat rear tyre. Also wheel changes are far easier than conventional cars.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Hydropneumatic suspension: amazing floating air bed ride. Practical too for wheel changes, flat tyres and navigating flooded roads. Also self levelling.
