Got the car with 97025 on it after passing my test in automatic. Despite the negative reviews of the EGS gearbox I bought a C1 with it anyway. Once you get used to it you will quickly realise that many of the people who speak negatively about it either haven't owned the car very long or bought a poorly maintained one. Once you get used to it and realise when it shifts gears it is surprisingly quick and easy to drive. Gearchanges are smooth despite the odd poor change. Has a manual mode for when this occurs. It is extremely fun to drive and the 5 door is very spacious despite the diminutive proportions. I would highly recommend this model for any first time driver, or anyone who needs a small automatic!
How reliable do you find the car?
No problems whatsoever with the car. Extremely easy to maintain and replace consumables such as spark plugs and filters.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Very fun to drive and the 5dr is actually extremely spacious! When driving with 3 other passengers it still feels nippy and can overtake other cars. A little bit noisy on motorways but incredibly stable
