Citroën C2 GT 1.6i 16V 3d (2004/04) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Will not get a great deal better for the price, with Citroen offering cashback when I bought mine, although this has now been scrapped so models will now cost you the full £10,500!
Costs
Excellent fuel economy from a 1.6 litre engine and group 6 insurance. This would be hard to match by the GT's rivals.

On the road
Driving
Tight grip and minimal body roll when cornering. Smooth drive whilst offering an enjoyable grunt when pedal is put to the metal.
Performance
Not excessively fast but gives out a decent kick if driven to its potential. The GT's handling is quite outstanding, as you would expect from what is essentially a rally car with a CD player!

Living with it
Reliability
Have had no problems thus far (touch wood) although have heard of potential problems regarding the brakes when reversing, guess I'll have to wait and see.
Image
The automobile equivalent of marmite, you either love it or hate it. Whichever, it's guaranteed to attract attention, the white wheels set it off just right, especially if you pick the flat red paint finish!
Comfort
Sport seats are comfortable and height adjustable, steering rack offers rake adjustment so even the most oddly proportioned people would be able to find a comfortable driving position.

Security and Service
Security
The car seems to attract attention (my metal valve caps were stolen an hour within putting them on) but it comes with an alarm and cat 2 immobiliser as standard so it's decent enough.
Service
The particular dealership were rather bad considering they were trying to sell me a car for near enough £10k. I wouldn't use them again.
