Summary
What does this car say about you?
A young person who wants a car thats cheap to run and maintain (which its not) and wants the car to be good looking.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Friends dread it when they pull the short straw for sitting in the back, even for short journeys down the shops, but otherwise they think its a good little car when its working.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Erm...no, the car had caused me nothing but havoc and stress in the 10 months of ownership and the dealers have made that even worse. My previous C2 was much better, however I would never buy another one, and I would never buy another Citroen so I can just avoid the dealers.
What are you likely to buy next?
I have just traded it in for a Renault Megane, though it is French so it will probably go wrong, so you could say why buy another French car after this amount of trouble with the C2 and Citroen, I am mad but time will tell.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£6,995
When did you buy the car?
May 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a decent deal as I knew one of the sales staff.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had a C2 1.1 SX before and needed a bigger engined car, so went for the 1.4 Furio as I fancied another C2
What was the dealer like?
Very professional, top marks, shame it was 100 miles away from me. Dealers up in Manchester where I live and have the car serviced and warranty work done are dreadful, rude, incompetent to fix or find a fault, give strange excuses and basically havent got a clue what there doing. Citroen UK dont care about your problems, just your money they need.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
When it starts, doesnt stall, clutch doesnt judder, and the car has electricity its a good drive, ride is extremely harsh on steel wheels, better on alloys but still harsh. Its definitaly a city car as the seats are extremely uncomfortable on long trips, no lower back support and even a drive to Liverpool along the motorway and I get chronic back pain.
What's it like to park?
Parking is a doddle, Steering is nice and light.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Stalls at 70 mph and then restarts (ECU Fault which still happens, dealer cant find the problem) Doesnt start 1st time (Linked to the ECU Fault, again cant find a problem) ECU light stays on (Dealer cant remove it and have said it hasnt lit up when in the workshop, yet it shines bright when I pick it back up) Alternator has been replaced twice, Rear shock absorbers gone after 18000 miles (Citroen cant find a fault, Kwik Fit and an independent garage can), Front passenger seat doesnt stay in one position after been moved (Never solved), Clutch has gone (Not under warranty)
What's most practical about your car?
Easy to park, thats about it, its a small car, it isnt supposed to be practical. Extremely cramped in the back for anyone above 5ft.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Digital speedo is good and looks cool, Split tailgate is very handy.
