Summary
What does this car say about you?
I like colour I like'style', I'm an active/fit retiree, busy DIYing & need the loading space, I like to be out with a car-full family/friends. Iwill soon need the space for family outings, especially picnics in the rain, entertaining ourselves studying the clouds through the glass roof!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Rermarkable & that it somehow 'matches me'!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Far too early to say, but so far so good. For the reasons given earlier, but in time new even more attractive models wil come onto the market, so I would consider all that was available at the time I was changing my car..
What are you likely to buy next?
As above, it depends on the market at the time.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,500
When did you buy the car?
May 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so, I appeared to be given a fair price for my p-ex. I realise this was to get the C3 shifted. Although only 3 years old it was relatively high milage 60,000.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
A better'grannie wagon' than my 3 seater Corsa.
What was the dealer like?
Surprisingly pleasant & fair - I think. (Only 2.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
As expected. Overall I'm pleased with this car. However mpg's not achievable! Corsa had brighter/wrap-round lights, front fog's might compensate. Seating adjustement good. Footpedals initially seemed too close. 4 steering wheel stalks fairly intuitive. Dash-top info screens easy to read, especially the speedo. Dash-front central console poorly illuminated when night driving. Gear-shift is fine for me, but the very low hand/parking break is a bit of a pain/strain even.
What's it like to park?
For me better than the Corsa with it's 'fast-back' end & tiny triangular rear-side windows. The cube shape of the C3's rear is easier to reverse with. (Next time I buy, I'd be tempted to wait for a car with 'parking assist' if it hadn't become standard. I'd be near 70 years old by then & might not be so flexible to swivelling around to park/do checks before moving across motorway lanes. I have a 'bad' astigmatism in my left-eye & don't really believe what my mirrors are telling me! My 2 low-speed impacts with other vehicles have both been when reversing out or parking!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not yet , but only done 800 miles. Envisage expensive to fix probs. could set in if I keep it until it had done 100,000.
What's most practical about your car?
Narrower doors being a 5 door. I imagine the tailgate in the near future, for loading the expected grandchild's equipment.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Panoramic glass roof. Trip-computer; ave mpg, ave mph etc. Adjustable driver seat & steering wheel are standard on this model, likewise fog-lights. I hadn't had this on the Corsa & would have searched for longer if the car I sought only had these as options.
