Citroën C3 1.4 HDi 16V Exclusive 5d (2002/52) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Bought for £8,400 when 16 months old, so cheap buy.
Costs
Don't believe the fuel figures - I drive 60 miles a day on the motorway with no traffic and the best I ever ever ever get is 57mpg. Reliably informed by the dealer area manager that Citroen are 'economical' with the truth about fuel figures.

On the road
Driving
Very nippy and faster than figures suggest, but some body roll at speed round corners.
Performance
As I said, very quick off the mark and all the way up to 100mph.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far, and I've already covered 7,000 miles since Jan '04.
Image
Looks great from some angles and, well, odd (but not bad) from others. Quite like it.
Comfort
You get used to the auto climate control and wipers, as well as the nice comfy velour seats.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks (engaged automatically), alarm, all in all, quite good.
Service
Very good service from my Arnold Clark dealer, but Citroen are avoiding the issue of the mythical fuel economy.
