Economy
Value
Prices have gone up quite a bit since 2002. Extras and options bump the price up significantly.
Costs
Still under warranty, not had 20,000 mile service yet which looks expensive.
-
On the road
Driving
Bit noisy. XSARA is much quieter.
Performance
Ok. Also I've had the 1.1 on loan which seemed quite good as well.

Living with it
Reliability
Needed spare keys when key battery failed, Engine management system correctly indicated there was a problem, but should it have happened at all!
Image
Paid the extra for Black, which looks good. Mudflaps essential, but pricey.
Comfort
Plenty of seat adjustment and room in the footwell for all sorts of sizes to drive. Slightly cramped in back.

Security and Service
Security
Quirky. Cannot lock yourself out, but problems if key batteries go flat. Could not lock car with just the key.
Service
Garage good, but Citroen UK seem to get things wrong sometimes.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
EMU updated, fuel injection failed.
Other
Disk brakes squeal, hand brake mechanism noise when parking on slope - no fix for this! Bare metal brake and steering parts rust immediately and could be a problem when older. Don't know why they are not treated in manufacturing.
