What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think the engine is noisy.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. Simply because the EGS gearbox is so bad - at times downright dangerous when it refuses to change down quickly enough at junctions. Also it is nowhere near as economical as billed.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not sure - but will be very careful about the gearbox.

Did you get a good deal and why?

A good deal including: interest free finance, 2 years free insurance and 2 years servicing.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Promised economy. Good previous experience of Citroens.

What was the dealer like?

Friendly and helpdful.

What's it like to drive?

For the most part the car is a joy to drive but in town is spoiled by the awful EGS gearbox. Having also driven other Citroens and Peugeots with the same gearbox but larger engines I conclude that the gearbox does not suit the engine.

What's it like to park?

Very easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Two occasions an engine warning light has indicated a gearbox fault. The dealer has diagnosed this as an electrical 'spike' caused by over revving. As in both cases the gearbox was in auto mode and I was travelling at less that 30 miles per hour this explanation does not ring true.

What's most practical about your car?

The car is a good size and comfortable to drive.
