Summary
What does this car say about you?
It's a Citroen - so I'm a bit eccentric? Don't think I'm a fuddy-duddy driver because I drive a small MPV!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My driving 'kids' don't mind borrowing, but they have their own. Son loves to use the manual gear change. It looks deceptively plain and boring, but it has a kinky window line - what's not to love!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, absolutely. But I know the later models don't have some of the things I love it for. Size is right, power is right, economy of 52+ mpg every week is right. Comfortable and lots of gadgets. Great.
What are you likely to buy next?
A higher spec C4 Picasso, I might consider the Grand. Nothing else is a patch on the C4s.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£6,400
When did you buy the car?
May 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I was satisfied with the deal, although the finance was a wee bit higher than I expected.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It had everything I wanted.
What was the dealer like?
Lovely premises and all staff very helpful and friendly. Had a nice long test drive not just 10 minutes 'around the block'.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
OK, so that gearbox is a love it or loathe I suppose - and I love it. There's a choice of 'manual auto' or let the car do all the work. You need to ease off the gas a fraction to get a nice smooth gearchange, but it does rocket along when pushed. Suspension a bit harsh when hitting a pothole, or lump in the road and the Hankook Ventus Prime 2 tyres I think are very noisy.
What's it like to park?
Not bad at all to park, but length is deceptive - it's shorter than it seems. A little bit of practice goes a long way.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Had a leak problem which was caused by blocked drainage tubes - needed a new heater. Brakes a bit soft, so they replaced the fronts. Has a 12 month Citroen warranty, so no worries there.
What's most practical about your car?
The space, rear seats very flexible. Lots of storage which I won't actually use. Most important is the accessibilty - getting in and out is a dream. Love the electronic handbrake too.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Love the EGS gearbox! It's so versatile. Yes, sometimes it lurches like a very bad manual gear change, but get it right and it's great! Favourite bit - the paddle shift; 2nd the static steering wheel boss; 3rd the step through front and centre.
