Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical but style conscious.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Very complimentary.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, although I might opt for the meatier 2 litre diesel as it can lose torque on motorway inclines.
What are you likely to buy next?
Undecided, maybe the facelift version with a 2 litre engine in 3 years time.

Buying experience

Did you get a good deal and why?
Very good deal. Negotiated hard & dealer discounted the price by £2000.00, but got £1600.00 worth of Exclusive + options (motorised tailgate, 3d headlights, park assist, front parking sensors , blindspot monitoring, radar, adaptive cruise control, photoreactive rearview mirror etc) thrown in for £400.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth, quiet, adequately responsive & very light, airy cabin make it super comfortable. A pleasure to drive.
What's it like to park?
Easy as I could hope for. Great turning circle, reversing camera, side mirrors that drop down when in reverse, great all round visibility, parking sensors, reversing camera all make for exceptionally easy parking.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Couple of niggly faults which I will address at it's first service: side mirrors don't fully return to the up position after a few reversing manoeuvres. Clutch pedal can be a little sticky after a long drive & despite what the dealer tells you, the satnav does not accept a full uk postcode & does not inform you of lane selection at a junction until the last minute). Also, the citreon supplied roofbars are a poor, cheap fit. Go for the Thules.
What's most practical about your car?
The space inside the cabin & boot are great. Lots of capacity for storage. We camp/tour through Europe each year & the amount of items you can cram into this car is unparalleled. The driver aids/gadgets are a real benefit to driving & it is quiet & exceptionally comfortable on all roads.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Motorised tailgate is handy when you are loaded down with shopping. Touchscreen is great once you master it. Bluetooth streaming & calls are a cool. Blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control & reversing camera work really well.
