What does this car say about you?

Prepared to try something a bit quirky.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

After initial surprise, quite impressed, particularly with economy 52mpg overall but did experience any potholes.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, I would go back to something bigger with better ride, but I would be happy to pass this on to my daughter who loves it.

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably back to Audi/Vw.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Bought from a Volvo dealership, who would not budge on price even though I had no part-exchange, but then reduced by £200 if I took out my own private warranty. They then assumed that this relieved them of any obligation if the car had any existing faults. Thankfully it did not.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I had enjoyed having a 5 door but needed an automatic.

What was the dealer like?

Very poor really. Some agreed paintwork was done poorly and had to be remedied.

What's it like to drive?

For 1.6 engine very adequate power with acceleration available at all reasonable cruising speeds. Suspension very poor on rear, potholes make you feel there is none!! I have already bought a set of 16" wheels to see if downsizing will help.

What's it like to park?

Not the easiest and this this is the smallest car I have owned in 30 years. I appreciate the sensors.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only fault so far is that climate control has just failed.

What's most practical about your car?

I was concerned about coping with the width of the doors of a coupe but this has not been a problem.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Surprisingly,despite other reviews, the EGS gearbox with paddlechange and manual option. It has its downsides, in the slowness of change but the options outweigh this in my view. Top spec of VTR+ and mine has heated leather, sensors, Bluetooth and MP3 as factory options.
