Summary
What does this car say about you?
Citroen freak, started with 2CV and had most of the others since. Only strayed to Saab 900 (expensive, rusty and unreliable) and Volvo 740 ( all fun removed at time of manufacture).
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It looks so massive it has been christened Tiddles. The man who bought my last one won't part with it, I tried!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, best kept secret in motoring.
What are you likely to buy next?
Don't think there will be another, may have to go to a Picasso as I get more creaky.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£900
When did you buy the car?
November 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Desperate to get ris of it as they take up a lot of room.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had one of these before changed to face lifted diesel 2.2, didn't like it as much, so found another/.
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Painless, it rarely exceeds 2000rpm even on motorway. Quiet, comfy, does what you expect. Better MPG than everyone thinks, usually over 30, diesel only managed 35.
What's it like to park?
Not great, back end has sensors, long snout doesn't.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Couple of electrical glitches, cured by pressing the right butttons - independent dealer! Needed new wiper blades all round.
What's most practical about your car?
Everything, if you opt for the later model you get a nicer bonnet and front parking sensors, these are the only useful bits - all the rest is negative after Peugeot accountants had deleted things. Stupid dash controls compared to early model.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Nice cow seats - totally painless experience to use, something you don't appreciate until you try something else. Auto lights and wipers a bit over the top.
