Citroën C5 Hatchback (2004 - 2008) 1.6 HDi 16V VTR 5d Owner Review

I owned a Citroen Xantia before this car and was sad to see it go due to family finance reasons. Got by with a smaller car for a while, but when things improved I saw a used C5 at a good price and took a test drive. Very impressed with the traditional Citroen comfort and ride quality. Not brilliant to throw around corners, but it's not meant for that. It;s got all the features I could expect in a used car - dual-zone climate, cruise, 4xelectric windows, and more, and even though it's done 130K miles, it's still quiet and still gives 55+ mpg. I have had the car regularly serviced as per the manual, which isn't cheap, but neither would anything else be, and apart from consumables like tyres, wipers, bulbs etc, it has never let me down once. Friends and family are also impressed with the ride and the space in the back, even when sitting behind a 6ft driver. Highly recommended.
