Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not a lot, in that it's imposing and I'm not. It does say I relish the different and embrace practical technological advances.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Sleek, big lump and pretty smart.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely, but the Mk.3 version, which is another beast entirely. That said, this one is excellent and arguably the best car I've ever owned in 45 years of motoring.
What are you likely to buy next?
Citroen C5 Mk.3 (or 4).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,800
When did you buy the car?
July 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Fairly cheap purchase but equally p/e weak, so it balanced out.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
More room, better comfort.
What was the dealer like?
Car supermarket - lot of hype and sales pitches for warranties etc.
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A little too easy, if anything. Very restful, but needs watching as the speed limit can go unnoticed. Comfort levels better than the majority. A little engine tweaking turns it into quite a little devil.
What's it like to park?
All-round proximity sensors absolutely vital and effective. This is quite a bulky car, so visibility can be a bit limited and turning circle is NOT that of a London taxi.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
EGR valve disintegrated, otherwise pretty good. Was supplied with ludicrously undersized battery - total mess from the suppliers service department.
What's most practical about your car?
Enormous boot and great lugging ability.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Blissful ride, with optional sport setting.
