Summary
What does this car say about you?
I don't know...I originally had planned to buy an A6 or 520D but was shown the C5 and thought I am saving £4-5k and getting a car with less mileage and far more spec. I guess I'm not one of the herd...
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Friends are impressed with the looks and spec. My kids want to sleep in it! These cars are quite rare in Ireland although now that I've had it for a few weeks I've begun to notice them about.
Would you buy this car again and why?
In a heartbeat. Fantastic value for money and a lot of car for so little money. Lets hope this trend continues where these can be bought at so little money. It reminds me of the Rover 800 fastback of the late 90's that could be got for peanuts and cost little or nothing to run. However, time may yet tell a different story on the C5 - we'll see.
What are you likely to buy next?
After this I've no idea...I normally keep cars for a quite a few years if I like them and this one I like.

Bought over the internet - arrived in Cheltenham to find what looked like a new car waiting for me..
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Looks, style, reviews, value for money and previous history with french cars going back 30 years.
What was the dealer like?
A pleasure to deal with. He took his time to get me acquainted with all the minor details of the car - especially the electronic handbrake!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It drives like a very expensive luxury car. The six speed box is very tight and there seems to be a very small powerband between the gears but you get used to this quickly and adapt. The diesel is very quiet and the ride superb. There is a marked change between normal and sport mode and generally speaking it handles very well.
What's it like to park?
I've always had big cars - Volvos Saabs, Land Rovers, Rover 800s and as such am well used to parking but the parking sensors front and rear make it childs play.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One minor fault - an anti pollution sensor came on after about 30 miles and the car shut down. I rolled onto the side of the motorway and immediately phoned the garage. They told me to restart and return to them where they ran a diagnostic check which revealed nothing. They figured that this may have happened because the car was lying up for a couple of months. Hasn't happened since...
What's most practical about your car?
Size. I'm a Manufacturers Agent and do a lot of mileage, especially around Ireland and this is by far the most head turning, comfortable, practical car I've ever driven.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Where do you start !! Directional Lights, Voice Control over telephone, SatNav, Audio, Seat Massager! This car has a fantastic spec.
