Hydractive suspension with front double-wishbone and rear multi-link ride quality is at least as good as WDB140 S-Class. Gives a feel of a strong and tough chassis - good structural strength. Front wheel drive means flat floor without centre tunnel for rear seats but parking in city will need to cope with a 11M turning circle. Rear parking sensor is thus a very good gadget, and the audio beep tone is integrated into the car audio system so the reversing beep comes from the rear. This gives an extra degree of driver confidence when reversing. Extend of driver's seat is not as ample as on the W140. Supple and quiet ride, extensive noise treatment leaving tyre noise and road rumble as main contributor. A characterful car - you adapt to it.
