Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm a family man who can still do a hundred.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
First reaction when they get in and I put my foot down is "this performs like a normal car!".
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, because they've stopped making them. And there's nothing on the market like it.
What are you likely to buy next?
A Seat Alhambra, VW Sharan. Or perhaps a Nissan Pathfinder. I'm attracted by the bad reviews.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£20,000
When did you buy the car?
November 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes - £5,000 off the list price. Seems that they were selling off the stock before finally discontinuing the model.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
We had one baby and twins on the way. Major military and logistics operation required just to drive to Grandmas.
What was the dealer like?
Not particularly engaged.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great. The car had really poor reviews at the time but I test drove it and it had good handling and good performance. Lesson: don't be suckered by magazine reviews.
What's it like to park?
It was a bit of a boat at first to get used to, and the rear parking beeper thingy was an essential item in the the top of the range trim.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Steering joints have been replaced. The light on the dashboard controls went out after a year or so, but with a quote of £300+ to take the dashboard apart to replace I didn't bother. It has also had a recall related to the automatic headlamps.
What's most practical about your car?
It is a Tardis. It doesn't appear to be any bigger than a Galaxy on the outside but it is on the inside.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Seat position memory. Press 1 for him, 2 for her.
