Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think it says I'm someone who wants to have fun and avoid a sensible dreary diesel hatchback.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
The kids think its great. Most convertibles don't have back seats, and if you want a nippy one which does you will have much less mpg.
Would you buy this car again and why?
If I had to replace it, I'd get a silver one with a blue roof, or a white one with black roof. It is not as refined and quiet as a BMW or audi, and I can imagine longing for that kind of luxury after a while.
What are you likely to buy next?
I tend to get completely opposite cars when I change to make it worthwhile. So I'm thinking a big safe german estate wife when the novelty of this feisty French mistress has worn off.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£9,500
When did you buy the car?
January 2016
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got the 155 THP, and it was only marginally more expensive than the VTi. The dealer wouldn't haggle, but they offered a fair trade in value.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Being a cabrio, and I wanted to get the wind through what's left of my hair.
What was the dealer like?
It was Motorpoint, who I found to be excellent on this occasion just like they had been before.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Being the sporty one, its got loads of power. Get it into 2nd or 3rd gear and it will take off like a rocket from roundabouts. I'm not as confident going round fast bends as its front wheel drive, and understeer is always a possibility.
What's it like to park?
Its got massive mirrors and being a short car its an absolute doddle. It even has the beepers if you want to reverse against a wall or another car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only had it two months, but pretty good so far. Slight rattle from drivers door, hopefully a loose screw.
What's most practical about your car?
Big doors, cruise control & comfy seats. The boot is surprisingly sufficient for most occasions. Who really needs cup holders, parcel shelves, rear doors or DAB.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I got the DSport so it came with Bluetooth. Never had it before, and its really simple and it just works when the phone rings. The trip computer says enough to be useful, and the stereo is loud and clear.
