We don’t expect too many problems with Citroen DS3 Cabrio safety.

The DS3 has been awarded five stars following Euro NCAP crash testing and we wouldn’t expect that to change for the convertible version.

With a boot capacity of 245 litres and 60/40 folding rear seats, the DS3 Cabrio is a fairly practical option compared to the competition. This is accentuated by the clever boot-opening mechanism, which uses a circular upwards motion, meaning you can open the tailgate even when parked close to objects like walls.

The boot lid itself is plastic, which means it’s light and easy to operate. Although on first inspection it looks easy to trap fingers in the boot hatch when closing it, Citroen has thought of this and has engineered the insulation so this is nearly impossible.

It’s worth noting though that you won’t be able to open the boot with the roof folded all the way down, however.
