Citroën Grand C4 Picasso (2007 - 2013) 1.6HDi 16V Exclusive 5d EGS Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This car is very spacious inside and has lots of boot space for long trips. It has fantastic gas mileage and can easily go from one part of the country to another on just one full tank. We overlooked the bad reviews on the semi-automatic gearbox and were burned for it. The gearbox is terrible and always feels like its slipping when you let off the gas or push on it slightly. Deft control of the throttle is impossible. This is compounded by the everpresent minor oil leaks this C4 Grand Picasso suffers from, that drip into the transmission box somehow and cause additional slippage. We've never had electrical issues like other owners have had, but we did have our serpentine belt snap on us mid-drive in Europe, very costly. Additionally our top mounts had to be re-done which causing audible pops when we turned the wheel. Fantastic design with poor execution, i'd never recommend one of these to a friend. Go for a newer year, or better yet, some other brand all together. All that comfort went to waste, sold it after three years for a 3 year older Honda CRV. :(
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I expected it to run well at under 15 mph and low revs, but it seems you have to keep the car at high revs or high speeds and gears in order to get good performance. Transmission performed woefully.About their car
