Pretty good. You get what you pay for, but this not a bad budget car

Generally ok, but since fitting ex-VTR alloys, drinks more petrol. Also, be careful for the bodywork - it bruises like a peach!

Fun, even for an auto. It's like a dodgem, espescially now with 185-55/14 tyres.

    Performance

Bit poor really. Friend's 1.2 auto Punto seems to be more nippy - I'm gutted about that, but I like my Saxo anyway. Since fitting alloys, lost acceleration - top speed increased a little, though.

    Reliability

Done about 14k miles in the year since getting it. Just had to replace head gasket (£290). Ok apart from that.

Looks good from the front (especially with front fogs and alloys), but profile and rear a bit plain.

    Comfort

    1 out of 5 1.0

It's a Saxo - you do not buy a Saxo for a comfy ride. ;) Seats are pretty cheap and there's little room in driver's footwell.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    Central locking and immobiliser.

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Not impressed with Solent Citroen (Portsmouth) dealership when put in for major service.
