Economy
Value
Bought it new and it was reasonable value. At the time, nothing could touch it for bhp per £.
Costs
Economical. Averaged 33, even in mostly town driving, and when driven with a leaden right foot. Repair costs quite high however.

On the road
Driving
It handles really well on the limit. No understeer no matter what the conditions. Beware - could put you in a ditch if you don't know what you're doing though.
Performance
Nothing to touch it for the price.

Living with it
Reliability
Generally great. Let me down twice in 6 years. Once because I hadn't replaced the battery early enough. Last time the head gasket went and cost me a fortune - hence loss of 1 star.
Image
Fine when I bought it. A bit too 'baseball cap' these days since the Max Power brigade cottoned onto them.
Comfort
Not bad in front for 6 foot plus, but seats not great and pedals cramped and offset.

Security and Service
Security
Keypad immobiliser a good idea. Even if they got the keys, they couldn't nick it. No deadlocks so not hard to get into. Alarm a bit 'over-sensitive'!
Service
Believe the hype. Citroen dealers really are the pits.

No problems at all until head gasket went at 68k miles. "Ouch" said my wallet!
