£12K new, paid £6500 with 17k miles, months ago. You get what you pay for! So good for the price I paid.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Insurance average. Fuel can be good for sensible drivers. With warranty left until sept 04' not had to spend a penny! Thank God. Stay away from any old cars if you can!

    Driving

Not bad. Hard suspension so ride can be rough on bad roads. Nice on smooth roads. Good handling, but understeers on tight wet corners. Brakes are average. Visabilty is good. Rates well in small patking spaces.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Torquey engine, good acceleration. 1 tank costing £30 will do between 200 and 225 miles. Driven other 'nippy' cars and this compares to Renault 19 16v. Manufacturer could make it sound better as standard. Willing engines.

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

Screws falling out, seased rear caliper, alarm going of for no reason, fog lights and back lights let water in.Exahust blowing. May have to do with some of the speed you can acheive. (132). No engine/gearbox problems so far (22k miles) everything else ok.

Felt better in Renault 19 16v, but better than the majority of other small cars. Popular car. Rated hot hatch of the year by Max Power in 2003. Can turn heads.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Nice seats. Steering wheel cannot be adjusted which is a pain at times. Not much room in the back, if you need room look elsewhere. Pedals too close for average sized feet but nothing that you cant get used to. Sunroof could have been electric. CD player.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not bad. Could be better with deadlocks.

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

Dixon Citroen is poor. Don't ring you back unless they want their loan car back. Waiting time was poor but has improved. Typical dealer really. I had to tell them what was wrong on one occasion. Much room for improvement.
