Citroën Saxo 1.6i 16V VTS 3d (97) (1997/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
£3000 for a fast car, but hurts the wallet compaired to the old Pug I had.
Costs
I'm a student, so £3000 was a little steep and don't expect the insurance guys to be kind to you at 22 years old. Nothing repair-wise gone wrong yet!

On the road
Driving
It's a little stiff. If you live somewhere with a lot of speed humps, don't expect to be getting to those all so important 4000 revs.
Performance
If you want to go crazy everytime you put your foot to the deck because of the acceleration, buy this... much better than my old 205 1.9 GTi.

Living with it
Reliability
Nothing wrong so far, but you'll crap yourself if you try starting it with the immobiliser still on :)
Image
People can't tell the difference between the VTS and the VTR. People think I'm the poor relative! Cheek.
Comfort
Seats aren't bad, but mine were saggy at 1st, nothing a little loving care didn't take care of. Corners can hurt if you really push it hard.

Security and Service
Security
No-one even dares comes near it! and it's not one of the crappy VTRs, so has an alarm and immobiliser. (Keypad is better than keycoded).
Service
They're French, need I say more?

Something is rattling somewhere, no idea if it's in the engine or a panel on the dash. I'll find it one day... only does it at 7-8,000 revs. :)
