Economy
Value
I got a 1 woman owner, 30k-mile VTS with metallic paint for £4,000!
Costs
Petrol consumption on the VTS is good if you drive sensibly. Quite shocking if you live in the limiter zone (where the fun is!)

Driving
Fun to drive. I am 6' 2" and it is a tiny little cabin, which reminds me of being in a Go-Kart. Pedals close together, but one adapts quickly.
Performance
Excellent torquey engine. Above 3-4 it really flies and the grunt is wonderful. Handling is excellent - I have got after-market lowering shocks and springs as well.

Living with it
Reliability
Well, for a French car and a Citroen at that, personal experience is good. Nothing untoward so far, although the gearbox is on its way out at 40k miles - not on! Loads of rattles inside.
Image
Well, the base models are a bit dull but the VTR/S are one of the nicest looking hatchbacks on the road. Victim of their own success. Far too common and driven by a fair few nobbers nowadays.
Comfort
Again, pedals close together. Comfy seats on the VT models.

Security and Service
Security
No probs there. Fitted aftermarket clifford alarm to be safe from tea leaves.
Service
Citroen. Don't bother. I get my friend's dad to do all the servicing.

Engine
Bombproof engines. This one is ace.
