Economy
Value
I purchased from new, which was a very bad idea - lost a lot of money in depreciation.
Costs
Cost a lot of money in repairs due to poor reliability. I thought the fuel economy was good considering how I drove it.

Driving
Great fun to drive, in fact the most fun I have ever had in a car. You can chuck it about well, although it can be a little nervy on tight corners.
Performance
A scream to drive - I think the engine spent 90% of it's life above 4,000rpm, where it's much more fun.

Living with it
Reliability
Terrible, not helped by losing my 3 year warranty after my dealer went into administration. Just three months after buying the car. Cost a lot of money in repairs after the standard 12 month warranty expired.
Image
The car looked fantastic, mine was in Metallic Blue which I think is the best colour for it. It was a shame that lower specced models looked almost identical which took some of the exclusivity away from the VTS model.
Comfort
Not bad but offset pedals take a little getting used to. Front was cramped with two broad people, although bearable. I liked the seat coverings in the VTS.

Security and Service
Security
I had three spare wheels stolen, cost me over £100 each time as they also cut the cage off. In the end I just left the wheel in the shed at home, it was the easiest solution.
Service
I lost my extended 3 year warranty when my dealer went into administration but Citroen would not pay for any repairs after the standard 12 months. Even though a few months after I purchased the car they started giving 3 year warranties as standard.
