Value
VTRs have got to be the best value for money warm hatch you can buy. Group 7 insurance keeps costs down.
Costs
Economical and very cheap insurance.

On the road
Driving
Great fun and handles very well. Even comfortable on motorway, but can get noisy above 70mph. Great around town, though.
Performance
Not the quickest car in its class, but nippy though. Gets to high speeds effortlessly.

Living with it
Reliability
Some known common problems with front suspension and general build quality is questionable. Rattles too much.
Image
As warm hatches go, the VTRs are the ones to have.
Comfort
Driver legroom is poor. Can be a bit tight for anyone over 6 foot tall.
-
Security and Service
Security
Standard immobiliser, but no deadlocks.
Service
Customer service is where Citroen really does let itself down. The dealers are very unhelpful and the service departments very rarely fix the problems.
