Citroën Xantia Estate 1.9 TD VSX 5d (1996/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Heavy depreciation makes these cars a steal
Costs
General ignorance, especially from dealers, about the suspension leads to high service costs.
-
On the road
Driving
Not a drivers car, little feedback from brakes and steering
Performance
Estate is underpowered with the 1.9td engine
-
Living with it
Reliability
Overall very good, but a few design flaws seem to affect every car eventually, notably clutch cable clip and boot door leak (on estate only).
Image
Still a very smart looking car.
Comfort
Apart from a slightly awkward driving position very comfortable. Good for three adults in the back for a long journey. Best ride in its class.

Security and Service
Security
No problems here. Keying in the immobiliser code gets annoying
Service
Citroen dealers don't seem to be adequately trained in suspension maintenance. Odd because it isn't hard to understand.
