Citroën Xantia Estate 2.0i 16V SX 5d (1995/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
A lot of car for the money and excellent standard equipment.
Costs
Fuel economy is fairly good, but parts and servicing is expensive.
-
On the road
Driving
Limo-like ride is suited to motorway driving in particular. Brake pedal is quite close set to accelerator and clutch. Accelerator pedal has a very narrow travel range. Steering ratio is different.
Performance
Fairly good acceleration, but engines do not like to be pushed - they prefer to accelerate more sedately.

Living with it
Reliability
Touch and go. It depends upon the car. Something major will go wrong at some stage, so be prepared.
Image
Great for dog owners and people in their 50s.

Security and Service
Security
Keypad immobiliser and alarm. Not likely to be stolen by your average thief, unless they have a penchant for estate cars.
Service
Intermediate.
