Citroën Xantia Hatchback 1.8i SX 5d (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
For what the car offers (electrics windows, sunroof, etc), the value of the car has fallen through the floor.
Costs
Depends on what goes wrong.

On the road
Driving
Driver's seat is not very supportive. Also, you do feel very low down. Not exactly a car that will get up and go for you.
Performance
At 70mph on the motorway, you feel you doing damage to the car. Doesn't give you the impression you should be driving at that speed, though it's a 1.8i with only 50k miles on the clock.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems during my ownership.
Image
Hydaulic Citreons have always had a weirdo in a jumper image, though mine is black with chrome trim and it does look nice. But then again, black never looks clean, even after it's been washed.
Comfort
Great.

Security and Service
Security
Good too, though the keypad does seem to have to be right against the driver's door to unlock and lock the car. New batteries used as well.
Service
Use a specialist round the corner who does a good deal.

None, but doesn't feel as it should for a 1.8i.

Only gripe is it has lost me money due to depreciation.
