Economy
Value
I paid less than £1000, an awful lot of car, for not much money.
Costs
Needed a bit of work for MOTC, but very economical, even when driven hard (45+ mpg).

On the road
Driving
Tends to roll a bit round country lanes and fast B-roads, but very comfortable around town (can't even feel speed bumps) and motorways.
Performance
Not driven many other TDs, but plenty of pull from throughout revs, overtaking is easy, even in 5th.

Living with it
Reliability
Has never broken down, or had any cause for concern. Only two things I have had to do (apart from MOT repairs) are new tyres, and some Mineral fluid for suspension/hydralic system.
Image
Good looking car, even 9 years after it was made. People don't expect it to be quick, quite amusing to overtake supposedly more powerful cars.
Comfort
Can spend hours driving, still comfortable. Suspension is brilliant, seats quite supportive.

Security and Service
Security
Locks seem quite secure, but the keyfob is broken and so no alarm. £120 for a new key…
Service
Never visited dealer.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Fantastic, nothing at all wrong.
Other
Interior is surprisingly hardwearing, even in the plush SX form. Use this car to commute to work and back everyday, and it gets filthy as I work in construction. A quick clean, good as new!
