Economy
Value
A lot of car for the second hand buyer particularly in VSX spec.
Costs
Parts are cheap if bought from an independant specialist. Service costs are low if you do the work yourself like I do! Fuel economy is good at an average of 45mpg.

On the road
Driving
Hydractive suspension helps to sharpen handling when in a hurry. Ride is very comfortable and reassuring.
Performance
Turbo diesel unit is a good performer and bullet proof.
-
Living with it
Reliability
I have covered well in excess of 100,000 miles. The only non consumables to be replaced are: 1xABS sensor and a Hydractive switch both together costing less than £100.
Image
Styling still looks OK, eight years after launch.
Comfort
Still a great car to eat up the miles whether on the motorway or not.

Security and Service
Security
Pre '95 diesel models lack an immobiliser.
Service
Rare experiences with dealers have been satisfactory.
