Citroën XM Hatchback 2.1 SD 5d (1992/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Once fully depreciated, it's a bargain for such a large car.
Costs
Very reasonable. 42mpg at worst.
-
On the road
Driving
Once you get used to the driving sensation it can be driven quickly.
Performance
At its best when using the mid-range torque on daul carriageways etc.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Keep it well maintained and 'exercise' the suspension regularly and it shouldn't let you down.
Image
Poor image, but has great road presence, especially in dark colours.
Comfort
You can travel faster than other cars as you float over today's pot-holed roads.
-
Security and Service
Security
Not good... but it's hardly top of a car thief's list.
Service
Use an XM specialist as the 'technicians' at dealerships don't know enough and charge too much.
