Practical worker but gives a burst when required.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like the space in the rear with tables that fold up out of the way. It still has a unique look that sets it out from the crowd of bland vehicles,.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, handles all strange loads and can be used for camping when seats removed. Very reliable work horse with low cost maintenance.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Xsara Picasso on a 2010 or 2011, if they can be found.

Did you get a good deal and why?
It was a good deal due to low mileage and excellent overall condition.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Had Xsara Picasso 2.0HDi SX 2001 plate and it was excellent so had another based on previous experience.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was very helpful and was willing to trust me in an unusual situation with the insurance. Unfortunately he sold the business and no longer trades from the site.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very comfortable, quiet and handles well on country roads. Happily drove 400 miles over 6 hours using country roads and motorways with no problems.
What's it like to park?
Easy to reverse park and generally fits well into most car park spaces.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The n/s cheap headlamp bulbs tend to blow too frequently so just invested in expensive Xenon bulbs, very weird. Aircon pump failed after 62,000 miles but was repaired cheaply.
What's most practical about your car?
Size of loads that can be carried due to complete removal of rear seats. Very good economy and quick acceleration.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Excellent CRUISE control. Fitted control stalk myself easily and paid local garage to activate functions on the cars engine management system. Stress free 50 mph motorway speed restrictions through road works wear average speed limit cameras lurk. :-).
