Citroën Xsara Picasso (2000 - 2010) 2.0 HDi Desire 5d Owner Review

In their own words
So yes i have had issues, but that's hardly surprising as the car had been neglected and badly maintained all it's life I have spent a fair amount over the last year on repairs and upgrades just to make it as good as possible, and i'm certainly there...it's what you'd call a minter now
so the problems, firstly the clutch went (not surpring as it was juddering for a fair while), had to get some work for the MOT (brake lines and sills which isn't bad really), replaced both front springs and shocks which massively improved the car but otherwise it's been pretty much rock solid reliable
i believe the car had only ever done town driving (it's a 2.0 HDi diesel) which is very bad for it, but it seems to enjoy doing almost 20k a year worth of motorway driving with me and with oil changes every 6k it runs beautifully
i've got a lowering kit to fit this year, a slight lowering so it will still look good, also a slight tint on the rear windows to keep the temperature down on hot days whilst parked, will likely replace the starter motor too at some point.
i do reccomend these cars, they drive really well and if you get a good one it will be one of the best cars you've ever owned, sadly these days it seems as though it may be difficult to find a good one.
