Citroën ZX Hatchback 1.4i Elation 5d (1995/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Slightly cheaper than its sister Pugeot 306.
Costs
Parts are never too bad - timing and PAS belt change cost me £100 all-in (including labour) at a Citroen Specialist.

On the road
Driving
Softer suspension gives a pleasant ride. Very easy car to drive and pretty nippy too.
Performance
Quick off the lights, cruises fine on motorways, but bit sluggish on long steep hills.

Living with it
Reliability
Never had any problems with the engine in my time... just the one incident with the brake caliper.
Image
The laydeez don't queue up, but it looks nice with the colour coded bumpers and chrome exhaust (standard).
Comfort
Seats not hugely supportive, but soft ride compensates.

Security and Service

Never tried to nick it myself and it hasn't gone walkies yet!
