Citroën ZX Hatchback 1.4i Temptation 5d (2002/51) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Although the car has impressive handling, the performance doesn't totally match. For £5k, I should look elsewhere.
Costs
Group 7 seems about right. Insurance is sensibly priced. Fuel economy is very good. I frequently manage to achieve 40mpg (not bad for a 21 year old male!)

Driving
Well balanced suspension - corners taken in its stride. Steering is sometimes heavy. Driving position is comfortable with a wide view from windscreen.
Performance
0-60 is less than impressive on 1.4i. Well suited to motorway driving and goes easily up to and above 70.

Living with it
Reliability
No major problems to report. Sound engine and performance.
Image
3-door looks sportier. I like the look of the front bumper with foglights. Practical, but not inspiring.
Comfort
Plenty of space inside the cabin. Seats are comfy, but could do with being firmer for longer journeys.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser is effective and more useful than an alarm. Steering lock is an additional feature. Both of these features, however, are standard on most new cars.
