Ford has introduced a host of new engines to the mondeo line-up, with a new high efficiency EcoBoost petrol and upgraded diesel units.
On sale now, the new turbocharged 2.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine delivers 203bhp yet still returns average fuel economy of 36mpg. CO2 emissions are 179g/km, 2qualifying the Mondeo for the 24% benefit-in-kind tax banding.
Also new are revised versions of the Duratorq RDCi 2.0-litre diesels. The 115 and 140bhp engines now qualify for the Euro V emissions limit, while a new range-topping 163bhp version is also being offered.
CO2 emissions for all three power outputs are 139g/km, putting them in the 19% BIK banding. Fuel economy is 53mpg across the board.
As a result of the figures, Ford is dropping the Econetic low emission branding on the Mondeo.
On sale now, the Mondeo EcoBoost is priced from £22,095 while the diesel versions range from £18,995 to £23,495.
