Porsche has announced details of its new Cayenne SUV, which includes a petrol/electric hybrid version for the first time.
Due to go on sale at the end of May, the new Cayenne receives a new look, lower weight and increased efficiency from all engines across the range.
The range continues as before: Cayenne, Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S, Cayenne S Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo.
The Cayenne V6 now delivers 300bhp yet fuel economy has improved by a fifth to 28.5mpg combined.
The Cayenne S Hybrid uses a supercharged 3.3-litre V6 petrol engine allied to an electric motor. This model delivers 333bhp, combined fuel economy of 34mpg and CO2 emissions of 193g/km, putting it in the 27% benefit-in-kind tax band.
The Cayenne Diesel returns 38mpg and emits 195g/km of CO2, putting it in the 31% BIK band. However, it will cost the least in BIK terms due the difference in price – the Diesel costs £44,178 and the Hybrid £57,610.
Prices start at £41,404 and rise to £81,589 for the Turbo.
