Written by Parkers Updated: 1 February 2017

Welcome to Company Car Driver's coverage of one of the biggest car shows in the world, which our correspondents covered live on 13 September.

The 64th Frankfurt IAA was the latest event in a line of German car shows stretching back to Hotel Bristol, Berlin in 1897, where just eight vehicles were shown to the public. Now held biannually, it's a much bigger affair than it was all those decades ago.

As ever with large motor shows, concept cars featured heavily, alongside unveils of new derivatives of some of the most popular cars currently available. There were also a few headline-grabbing supercars from the top sports car firms, and of course the ubiquitous smattering of scantily-clad ladies should you get bored of staring at metal.
