Cupra Formentor SUV 2.0 TSI 310 VZ2 5dr DSG 4Drive Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The Formentor is a visually stunning car, aggressive styling and in VZ2 and above the performance to match, this thing goes like a rocket. Sadly it feels like Cupra rushed it to market. My biggest gripe is the infotainment system, it appears to have been designed by a 5 year old or at the very least by someone who has never driven a car. Firstly, like many other current cars there is a trend to move all of the interior functions into the infotainment screen, the Formentor is no different here, pretty much everything has to be done through the touch screen which wouldn't be so bad if they designed it so the things like heater and seat controls were always displayed in the same area, like in say a Volvo and most other cars with touch screens. Secondly it appears to powered by a CPU you would find in an old circa 2000s Nokia phone, it is slow to start up and slow to react to inputs meaning that you press something to turn it on, it doesn't react so you press it again to find out that it then catches up turns what you wanted on and then immediately off again.
Mine is a contract hire vehicle, if I'd paid the 40K list price I would not be impressed, its the first contract hire vehicle I have had that I can't wait to return!
Pros - Styling, Performance, Comfort
Cons - Sadly pretty much everything else
How reliable do you find the car?
Drivers window would constantly get half way up and then return to fully open when using the auto close function . Intermittent issue when stop/start would restart the car but then the auto hold would not release when pressing the accelerator. Infotainment and digital dash would occasionally go blank.
