Cupra Leon Estate verdict
Should you buy a Cupra Leon Estate?
The Cupra Leon is as good as we remember, blending everyday practicality with impressive levels of performance. There are no nasty surprises in the way it drives, nor is anything drastically different, mechanically. They’ve built on the last model by increasing passenger space and fitting an up-to-date dash.
What we like
They haven’t messed with the formula of the 310, which continues to provide all-weather traction and usable performance without comrpomising on comfort.
The slightly more mature driving experience could be better-suited for the plug-in hybrid, too, serving as a low-cost wagon to run with sharp looks.
What we don’t like
The hatchback’s weak points carry over, meaning the infotainment system is highly fiddly and distracting.
Hardcore fans may wish for a manual gearbox on the 310.
