Daewoo Espero 1.8 CDi 4d (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Excellent value for the size of the car and the equipment.
Costs
Parts are cheap as most are generic GM parts.
-
On the road
Driving
Excellent for cheap motorway driving.
Performance
Good acceleration and good fuel consumption.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Never let me down, but if the ignition key is on a keyring with other keys, it sometimes won't start the car because the immobiliser signal gets blocked.
Image
Not a brilliant image, but has hidden talents. I like the styling and thing it looks quite up to date compared to some other cars you see on the roads.
Comfort
Quite comfortable and excellent adjustable seats and steering wheel.

Security and Service
Security
While Parker's say it is easy to get in to, no one has tried to break into mine, since it doesn't really have that boy racer image.
Service
I found that it depends whether you go to a Vauxhall dealer that services Daewoos or an actual dealer, as dealers are better.
