Daewoo Matiz (1998 - 2005) 1.0 SE+ 5d Owner Review

In their own words
I purchased my Matiz recently with just 15k miles on it.
In the 6 odd months I've owned it I've already added 5k and had no issues whatsoever with this above average daily mileage.
The car is so nimble in carparks you can literally park anywhere, even the smallest of spots.
Granted it's not the most equipped or luxurious car, I have the SE + and it even has electric windows which I didn't expect.
The Matiz is an excellent around town car, Mine is a Manual transmission and it drives perfectly in traffic and tight congested areas.
The one and only really downside is it's incredibly slow and not very fuel efficient on faster roads given it's size. I commute on mainly 60 mph roads and it sounds like it's constantly screaming. I've been 70mph in it for a brief drive up the motorway and do not recommend it as the small fuel tank will quickly empty as you have to maintain a high rpm to maintain speed.
Overall the car is fantastic however, I love driving it even with the poor fuel consumption on my commute.
If you want a cheap car to run about town in then this is great but would maybe consider something different if you want to use it regularly for faster roads like I do.
Fuel tank is rather small as you would expect, around £35 will fill it from near empty (142p per litre).
£25 will usually get me about 150 miles.
