Value
As I was downsizing from Luxury to basic, and the free servicing package was unbeatable.
Costs
Free servcing and 3 year warranty good. Out of warranty, the costs are low.

On the road
Driving
Previosly I drove Bristol & Bentleys as a Porfessioanl Chauffeur. The Matiz isn't up to that standard, but if driven correctly is as good as the old Mercedes 124 E class.
Performance
What can you expect for 3 cylinders and 798cc? Still I have done lots of motorway miles without discomfort.

Living with it
Reliability
Water pump failed, but replaced under warranty. Electrics can play up but not expensive to fix.
Image
Today's 2CV. I know one former employer who has a Rolls Royce Phantom, a Merc E55 AMG and a Matiz which is used for shopping trips.
Comfort
I am 6ft 6in and I have more legroom in the Daewoo than an XJ8. I can also sit in the rear in comfort unlike many large family cars twice the Matiz length.

Security and Service
Security
Built in alarm/immobilser. Locks pretty weak, good when you are locked out. But joy riders don't pinch many motorised shopping trolleys.
Service
Even when Daewoo Cars went bust, the Daewoo dealer Caffyns looked after me.
