Daewoo Matiz Hatchback (1998-2005) engines, drive and performance

For town work buy the cheaper 800cc version. Nippy enough to get through the traffic, cheap to run and reliable. The 1.0 version is better if you regularly carry a full load or need to do some motorway miles.
This is transport, no more. And that’s all we should expect. Set up to be easy to drive in town. Simple to park, but uninspiring to drive. Soft suspension copes with potholes, but wallows a bit round roundabouts.
