Daewoo Nexia Hatchback 1.5 GLXi 5d (1995/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
The car may be suffering from high depreciation, but this has actually benefited me - the second-hand buyer. I bought my GLXI (top spec) in A1 condition with a very low mileage, for a very low price! An absolute bargain!
Costs
Low insurance costs, low tax costs, low servicing costs (through independant garages), fault-free mechanicals (so far), but misses top score due to average fuel economy.

On the road
Driving
Comfortable seats, good adjustments, is acceptable for any type and length of journey and is easy to park (with PAS). However, the car has a very poor ride quality.
Performance
Adequate acceleration and braking performance. 70mph at 3500rpm is good enough for me.

Living with it
Reliability
Have owned the car for nearly a year and have driven almost 20,000 trouble-free miles. Have wasted money on year's breakdown cover!
Image
Not a priority for me, however some of my colleagues given positive points for its looks and colour. So I suppose it is not bad...
Comfort
Comfortable seats and cabin, though short on legroom and ease of getting in and out of the car. Comfort is affected severely by poor ride.

Security and Service
Security
Could be improved with an alarm system and a better engine immobilising system.
Service
Not used Daewoo service centers.
